Paper and Such!!! this week's challenge was a little different, you needed to create a card just using a sentiment... That was tough for me, a. I don't have many sentiments, and 2. well it taxed my brain, especially coming off a particularly crappy week. However, people we know just bought their first home, so I thought the sentiment I chose would work well for the card I plan to send to them! :)

Stamping Dragon Designs is having a design team call!!!! I simply went here, and requested the image, and made a card!! LOVE her images they are all super cute and original!

the card I made was simple, I used copic markers to color it, and then my embossing folder and nesties. WHA-LA.go ahead, give it a try!

it has been so, so long since I have done anything creative, or thought about doing anything creative.... We had a flood in our basement in Oct (which also happened to be where my sanctuary, er, I mean scrap room is. It took a while to get it back together again, but I am thrilled to be back in my space, coloring, creating and blogging. here's hoping 2011 will be a much more creative year!! :)

I have made a card this week, using an image from Robyn's fetish, sponsored by Glitter gabe. Balloon fairy's dress is adorned with prima flowers and a little bling to top her off. :)

This week's challenge at Robin's Fetish and I did it creations, was to "Keep it simple". This week our sponsor is Trees award. I chose her cats by the door, since I have a small herd of them myself, it made sense.

I used some ribbon, a brad and some bling flourishes from Prima flowers. Don't forget to check out the other peeps on the design team for some pretty awesome ideas on keeping it simple!

I was asked to be a guest designer not only once but TWICE for Easy Craft Projects!!!! YAY!!!!!!

I was super excited. The challenge for this week, was to create a card using the theme "home". I headed on over to Robyn's shop here and chose the image "5 Punkins. Now, those of you that know me, know I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE the fall. I was married int he fall. All my babies were born in the fall, heck even the hubbster was worn in the fall.... so to me nothing says home more than the fall, and pumpkins and fall colors. my friends!!! I have this card finished at least 2 weeks before it's due! Holy moly!!!! What gives?

Well few things. 1. Since I was going to mess up my scrap room, I thought I would make a few things at once. 2. right now, I should be sitting on a beach in Cape May. Love Cape May.

this week's image from I did it creations is sponsored by "stitchy bear". It's the "dino" image. Love him, so fun. Not sure if I am going to use it as a birthday card, or a thinking of you card, so I left the sentiment off. (which you probably have already noticed that I do on most of my cards). We were also told this week to use a sketch, and this was my take on the sketch. I completed another project, ahead of time!! Wow, go me! That never happens!

Well, since school is almost here... I thought perhaps I could do a nice little something for her teacher. I chose the image "Just ted and flower" from our sponsor Crafty pad. I just love Ted. The challenge this week is to create anything BUT a card. Now, this one I normally struggle with. It is usually hard, BUT not this time! I colored Ted using Gamsol and prisma colored pencils. I covered the top of a craft note book with some DO from my stash, added a bit of ribbon and some buttons and wa-la. Perfect. I also did a pen. I got the directions here. LOVE making those. So fun!

this post is....

It has been a million years since I blogged or did anything creative. There is a reason for that. We have put our home on the market, and had an offer put in on a new one. Well since ours is on the market, it means keeping the house spotless. :( And while I love having a clean house, it also means that I have not properly messed up my scrap room getting creative! UGH. Well since all the projects fro the house are completed and we've had 11 walk throughs and no bids, I decided the hell with it, I am making a mess. Boy howdy, did it feel good to make a mess. a slight mess, but a mess none the less!!

I soooo should be studying for my final, or working on the paper, or the project, or the lesson plan. It's not due till Monday. I have OOOOOODLES of time...today, I made a few cards... One I can show u now. One I have to wait until the end of July I think.... It is an easel card. Super easy to make. I have some images I am coloring on now,. to get them done and finished for challenges that are upcoming. :) I'm just good like that! lol The image is Whipper snapper, the papers are Basic Grey.

it is a bittersweet day.... Yesterday was the last day of school for the kids. While I look forward to summer vacation, I dread summer vacation. I trade in home work checking and lunch packing for being entertainer, so I don't hear "Mom, I'm bo-ooored." So I have decided that I will close myself in my dungeon, I mean scraproom.

yet I digress...

This weeks challenge, was to use an image from our one designer "treesaward" I chose the cat image, as many of you know, I have a small menagerie. I like the menagerie. (except when they use my head as a spring board) The theme was just to be creative. So, I grabbed my fave paper (doodlebug) and some dew drops and went to work. Easy-peasy. Oh Friday... How I've missed

you.... This week, I am bringing another exciting challenge to you from Robyn's Fetish. This week, out task was to create a card, using an image from one our new artists, GLITTER GABE. We were to also create a card using our favorite embellishment. This task, was kind of tough for me, because I love all kinds of embellishments. The one I find myself reaching for time and time again, is my cuddle bug. I LOVE embossing. I like the look. I love that I can dress it up, or down, which ever suits my fancy. So this week, I used bazzil bling, and my martha stewart punch. A little ribbon to make it pop and of course my other right hand, my nesties.... I think if I went on survivor, I would take them as my one thing. I can't tell you how effective it would be, but I would have some damn pretty leaves on MY hut.... lol

so you all KNOW what this means!! It is challenge time at Robyn's Fetish!!!! WahooO!!!!! It has been a LOLOOOOOOOOOOOOOng week, and I will not be sad to see it go! In new news, we got two new kittens last Friday, wonder what today will bring?!?!?!?! Ok, enough about me. For the challenge at Robyn's Fetish you are to make a card, using PINK as the focal color. We have called this challenge Pretty in pink! Woot-woot~ What goes better with Pink???? LIME green!!! Of course this time i laid off the lime green which I seen to be using a LOT of lately.

The challenge will run from today, until next Thursday! If you decide to participate, please leave a link to your creation in the comment section!

For this card, I used the kitty image from Robyn's Fetish. I colored the image using prisma colored pencils and gamsol. I used core paper for the embossing and sanded it. If you have not tried this paper yet, I strongly recommend it! It is the bomb! And what's more, you can find it at Joanne's for 5/1.00 deals!! Watch for them and stock up, it is ADDICTING!!!!

I also used my Martha Stewart eyelet border punch, my heart and swiss dot embossing folder from provo craft. Uber fun to do!!the kitty part slips out to write a message on the back!

Hola!!! Good Wednesday morning to all of you! Today is another installment of The Digi Shack's Wednesday sketch challenge!! Woot-woot! I really liked this weeks sketch, there were so many possibilities!! I chose the latest cupcake digi stamp Toni came up with! I, myself have been making a ton of cupcakes, from the books "What's New Cupcake" and "Hello cupcake". Did you KNOW there is a right and a wrong way to make a cupcake?? And adding buttermilk in place of the water will give you a denser cupcake? Yet the mind reels. Anyhoo- So this weeks sketch from The Digi Shack, I had cupcakes on the brain....

that is my interpretation of the sketch. Pretty yummy if u ask me!

Good morning!! This post is a little late, due to technical issues, so I apologize for that! Today, I have a card for Mother's Day, featuring an image from Robyn's Fetish!!

I used her sweet little bird image, complete with a gate fold card. I used prisma pencils to color it, and bazzil card stock. Robyn's Fetish has a TON of fabulous images to choose from, as well as a great design team to give you ideas!!!!! Make sure you come back every week, for a new image and card!

I know, i feel like I keep using the same old title... lol BUT, here at The digi Shack, Wed are the day for the sketches. LOVE sketches!!! Make is soooooooo much more fun!! lol

ok, here's the sketch we had to use

This is what I did... I just love several things about this card. One, the image. (head to the digi shack, they're only a BUCK!!!!

Second, aside from pink and brown, blue and brown, my fave color combo is lime green and hot pank!!! and Doodle bug happens to be the paper of choice! I used the core paper card stock and sanded my edges. Image was colored using prisma pencils and gamsol! I have yet to perfect my copic technique, although, i would LOVE to learn it! Don't forget to check out the other design team members, located to the right. There is some amazing talent. I know I say that every week, but every week, I continue to marvel at their abilities!!

The Digi Shack Design Team Call

It’s that time again where we are looking for a few fresh faces to join The Digi Shack.

If you LOVE digi’s you’ll love being part of our family! We are looking for new design team members. We’ve recently lowered our prices on our images to just $1 each to do our part in saving the world of paper crafter’s money! We are also adding a few new lines to our shop including some fabulous templates!

Open to:

U.S. and International English speaking applicants

Please read the following very carefully before submitting your application. It is very important that youfollow the directions as that too is part of the determining factor of you becoming a DT member

· 3 pictures of your VERY BEST work. Photos must be sized at 640x480. This can either be cards, layouts with pictures or altered items

· A paragraph (not a sentence) about you and why you want to be a Shack Sistah and what you will do to promote The Digi Shack.

· A clickable link to your blog

· A clickable link to your online gallery or galleries

· A list of clickable links to all Design teams you are on. It is favorable that you are not active on more than 3 design teams while you are with TDS.

What is expected of DT members?

If you are chosen to be a Shack Sistah you will be expected to:

· Complete weekly challenges and post to your blog on the challenge day(s).

· Post comments and photos on SNR and PCP and other social networking sites.(this means you will have to have a user account at SNR and PCP)

· You will also be required to leave comments on blogs for all of our TDS fans that participate in our challenges and your sistah’s blogs

· Participate in ALL TDS events where sufficient notice is given.

· It is not required but we encourage all DT members to submit their artwork to magazine publication at least once a month. A list of publications will be provided for you on the DT blog.

You will also be required to participate in Digi Day on SNR on the 1^st Saturday of EVERY MONTH for your term.(this date is subject to change without notice) as well as our monthly Ustream live video feeds (you do not need to have a webcam but you do need to sign up for a free Ustream account so that you can participate in the live chats)

You must use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome as your internet browser in order to view all of our images – both safer than IE and free to download. Our images are not always visible on IE. This does not mean if you use IE you have to delete it, you just need to use Firefox or Chrome while working with TDS images and blogs. You can have more than one browser installed on your computer and it should not harm or interfere with your system.

You must also know and understand how to use digital images. No special software is required but you must be able to print digital images in order to showcase them. Further, you must have a working knowledge of blogging software and understand the basic principles of inserting links, adding photos, etc.

A digital camera to photograph your work is required. No scanned images please.

You will be required to promote TDS by placing a clickable blog button on your blog. (This will be provided to you by TDS if you are chosen to be on the team)

You must have a blog that is updated at least 3 times a week.

You must be willing to commit to a 3 month term (June 1, 2010-Sept 1, 2010)

You will be required to check the DT blog daily to check for updates or new events. This is our main form of communication.

You must be willing to work under short notice. I am not a planner and more often than not, I plan things at the last minute.

Failure to comply with the above terms may result in termination with or without notice.

What do DT members get as part of being on the team?

You will receive free TDS images! This round we are doing things a bit different. Once selected as part of the DT you will receive 3 images of your choice to create with to announce your position on the team. Once I see that these three images are used you may choose 3 more and so on. I’ve found that if I freely give out images then they are not being used to showcase TDS. This isn’t just about getting free images, your position on the DT is to showcase and promote The Digi Shack. As long as you are creating with our images and showcasing them, you will receive all of your requested images. Please remember that this is a serious commitment and I expect that you treat it as such if you are chosen. Please do not apply if you can not commit.

Monthly we will be releasing new images and you will automatically be sent those images before the release date so that you can sneak peek those new arrivals. Those new releases do not count towards your images of choice.

If you think you have what it takes to be a Shack Sistah email your application with DESIGN TEAM in the subject line by May 15, 2010 – Any applications with anything more or less than DESIGN TEAM in the subject line will be disqualified.

and for once in my life, I have something finished ahead of time. Those of you, who know me and know me well... know that I **tend** to wait until the LAST possible second to do anything. Hey, it has worked for me for so long.... I tend to like it.

Anyhoo- This week at The digi shack there was a cool sketch to follow. I like sketches, because I don't have to think to hard about what I am going to do with the image I have colored. I chose to do something for Father's day, since it is fast approaching... I used the sketch that is posted on the site, and I flipped it a bit. I used my Martha Stewart border punch, and wa-la. Finito. AND Father's day is not for quite some time. What ever will I do with my self now???? LOL Please go check out The digi shack. She has AMAZING images, for a BUCK. Yup, I said a BUCK. So, this week, at The Digi Shack, Our task, should we choose to accept it, was to create a card using this sketch. I chose to use the Dog's birthday. I LOVE using stamps with wonky eyes.... call me crazy. It's Wednesday Challenge at the Digi Shack!! Toni, the owner, has given us a super challenge for today. That challenge is to create a card that is NOT your normal A2 or square card!! How fun is that???? I chose to do a long skinny card with a cut out for the focal point. Isn't this little bird struggling to get the worm just super cute??? This week, at The Digi Shack, our assignment was to create a card, using the image printed on design paper. Well, I chose the fish playing the guitar...(I just LOVE this quirky little bugger) anyhoo, since I did the one lay out in green and blue and dots I cased my won design and created another one, but this time I printed my favorite lil fishie out on design paper, from basic grey. (my fave paper line)I used the lime rickey paper, which i thought was fitting, b/c it is dotty and orange!!! I colored his arms blue this time, because orange and blue are compliments and I think they look smashing together!! and a dreary one at that. :( We are supposed to have rain for the next few days UGH. So I have decided to stay in my sanctuary, nice and dry. aaaahhhh. pf the week is now by far Wednesdays. Seriously. No more middle finger of the week for me. Why you ask? Well I'll enlighten you. Tuesday is laundry day here, so that means in theory my laundry is finished...Wednesday is when I get to share with you not only one, but 2, yes 2 cards. One from Robyn's Fetish, and the other from The digi shack.the first card, is from the Digi shack. This week, it is water color wednesdays. Well when I first heard this, I thought, man I have NO skill when it comes to water color. Au contraire mon fraire. I cut out the egg, embossed it with assorted folders for my cuttle bug, and put the adorable bunny from The Digi Shack in the center of the flower with a pop dot!! Cool,huh?? So that is card number one...

Today, in honor or the store's re-opening, (Which I like a HUGE dork missed last night, so my deepest apologies going out to all of you for missing that) Toni has put together a blog hop!!

I have been sooooo tired of the snow and the grey and the cold. I CRAVE the warmth and the colors of summer. Not any colors, but FESTIVE colors. Like Lime Green and Turquoise Blue, Or Hot pink and Orange (doodle bug design paper comes to mind on me for this one!!)
SO your challenge for this blog is to create a card, using the colors lime green and blue, or pink and orange!! aside from being up with the chickens, it is not turning out to be such a bad day!!
This week has flown by. Seriously flown. It has been rather exciting for me. 1. I was accepted to another design team! Wow! Lil ol me. 2. I was hired as a sub for a rather large school district. Holy crap. I am a secondary education/English major. (although looney will argue that one tooth and nail, b/c of my **stellar** typing skills.
Yet I digress.
the moist important thing on my agenda today, is the Robyn's Fetish Challenge!!
This week your challenge (should you choose to accept it, if to create ANYTHING but a card. Yup. any ol thing you want. Myself, when I saw this, I thought...hmmmm, I can do this! I made a candle! Yup. Ok, well lemme rephrase. I ALTERED a candle, using a digi image. I BOUGHT the actual pillar its self. I know, I know technicalities, but I did not want my adoring fans thinking I was THAT craftastic! Don't let's be silly now. The thing was EASY-PEASY. First, I got the image from Robyn. (and sake's alive she has a BUNCH at the store to choose from) then, I printed the digi on tissue paper. Yup. plain ol tissue paper. (and not the tissue you use for your arse, or nose) I then colored the images with my prisma pencils and gamsol. I attacked the ribbon at top with zip dry, chiseled a hole for the brad,threw on some stickles, and wa-la. Done. Finito. PHEW!oh wait a cotton pickin minute. AFTER I colored the image, i put them on the candle, then wrapped the candle with a piece of wax paper, (to keep these beauties that I cut out ON the candle) Then I used my heat gun to heat the image onto the candle. The warm wax seeps through the tissue paper. cool huh? It is **Almost** as fun as shrinky dinks. OOOOOOOOOOOOH, what a FAB idea! Run a sheet of shrink film through your printer with your digi image, color, cut and bake! I have a daisy troop, that these would look super cute with on a bracelet or a necklace..... Ok, off to find the shrink paper...

i used to loathe Wednesdays. I am nto sure why, but I did. Never cared much for that day, kinda like the middle finger of you week. Taunting you... weekend isn't here yet... lol. BUT, now, Wednesdays have a WHOLE new meaning. It is wacky wednesday over at RObyn's Fetish stamps!!. That means that you, my frined, get a digital image absoutely free!!!! Well now! Isn't that grand? And as if that was not enough, she has lots of other images for your perusing pleasure. So you buy a stamp. That's step one. You print it out and all, and then you think to your self, now what? I will tell you what... You make a card! Add it to a scrap book page, what ever your pea pickin little heart desires! If you get hung up on an idea for a card, just look to the right----*there is a list of her design team!! Check out the talent this lady has scored!! If you stop by their blogs, don't forget to leave bloggy love! We all like to know who's been visitin!
and, if any of you are wondering what ever happened with the camera? **blushing** Not only did I have a wrong setting on my camera, I some how (and lard have mercy, i have NO idea how) I took pics with no flash card. YUP, here I was snapping away, all the while the flash card was safely stowed in the printer... smacks forhead="" ugh. So this time it was operator error, something I never thought I would succumb to.HOWEVER- I did spill a 16 oz coke, all over my laptop.... Um yeah. That's not so great for the laptop. Bad news? lost all the files. Good news? It is covered by Dell. PHEW. Now, just the inconvience of not having it for 2 weeks. I will go through WITHDRAWL!>

and here this week, the challenge, is to make a scrap book layout. This one, was hard for me because I have not scrapped in like i dunno a BILLION years. (Or so it would seem) Anyhoo- I did the layout but left it blank and would add my pics later... took the photo, and tired to upload it and NOTHING. Had the hubs look at both things, and he's scratching his head. We think it is something with the camera, which if it is, that is hugely disappointing, since I have had it just over a year. If it is the computer, I am going to cry. Seems like computer problems are running rampant in these parts lately! My one friend just lost her hard drive and a few months before that her other computer, the mother board went! UGH.

So in the mean time, I will let you gave at the sketch, and make your own lay out. Make sure to visit the challenge blog, and upload yours, and you can with some of Robyn's images!! woo-hoo! When I get back from the camera place, I will try and upload my creation...

Ok, so there are several things I am UBER excited about!!! 1. My dad is turning 70. Now, normally 70 would not be THAT big of a deal, but those of you in bloggy land that know me, know that he has been ill, and has almost died twice. :( BUT, he is not fit as a fiddle, and ready to rumble!!!so celebrating 70 with him is an awesome feat. Makes me so happy you have NO idea.

2. It is Saturday at Robyn's Fetish! and, with that comes a challenge. This weeks challenge is cool, I had a lot of fun playing with it.The challenge will run from today until next Friday. One lucky winner will be able to choose a few images from Robyn's fetish!! (And I tell ya what, I am so glad it is not me that had to make that decision, because they are sooooo cute you will want them all!!)

Ok, this weeks challenge... Your card MUST have the following on it...

*Dimension. Pop dots.. give it a "boost"

*Pleated ribbon or paper. (this one I struggles with, but finally figgered it out)

*fibers... -you know, the stuff that we had to have 10 years ago b/c it was cool, and we have put it up in a box some where?? Yeah., that's the stuff... Twine, fibers, yarn...)

*more dimension: Diamond glass, Souffle pens, stickles...

On my card, I pop dotted both layers of nestibilities

idea from Sunshine's stamps... I used the lip image again, since I had such a great time coloring it. For this one, I just used basic Bazzil paper. I did the MMSC sketch challenge from here it was MMSC32. Might be a tough late, but I like the design. I used Sunshine's cocoa love stamp, which I love too!!! the paper I chose is Basic Grey's Figgy pudding. LOVE that line.

thought I would share a little creativity with y'all. We are closing in on the holiday, and I have yet to get all my cards out (for this I apologize in advance...) Anyhow, I used another of the images from Sunshine. I like this image, and I am rather partial to snowmen. It is simple, but yet I am rally diggin the white on white.

Christina told me about the idea, and since she's uber craftastic, I had to try. She was said it was "funner" than shrinky dinks. I am. Well ok, not really. I have chrsitmas on the brain. BUT, fall IS the time for planting all those purty flower bulbs for the spring time. To create this card, I used the cuttle bug folders: Swiss dot, d'vine swirl and the halloween one (I have NO idea what it is called, sorry. I also used nestibilities oval and scallop oval

I just made card number 2 for the night. Truth be told, it is either make cards, or do the reaction paper that I have due for class tomorrow. Those of you who know me, will know what I have chosen.... (and those of you that DON'T know me, will get a good idea of where my priorities are. It is not that I don't like school, on the contrary, I DO, However, there are just somethings I would rather be doing than a paper. Spell check ofr instance. ok, don't let's be sill now, that's is why I keep Marlene around, she catches every little itty bitty harmless mistake. Yet I digress.

For this card, I used the "halloweenies scarecrow" digi stamp from Ildi. I ised my Stadler pencils and gamsol to color this bad boy in. I layered lots of cardstock, added some pearls, a CB folder, and wa-la. I also tried my hand with the illusive Martha Stewart Loopy punch. Not sure I love it, but I used it. :)

he's Jack-o-bunny!!!!
LOVE HIM!!!!! There is something to be said about anything clad in a pumpkin this time of year, and Sunny Bunny is no exception. I think he wears the pumpkin well, no? Some might even mistake him for the Great Pumpkin. Good thing he's not is a Charles Schultz film, huh??? lol
I colored him using prisma pencils and gamsol. Well, ok, not my Prismas, but rather the Faber -Castell's.Head on over to Sunshine's and see what other adorable bunnies she has for your fright, I mean, enjoyment!

Robbie and sunshine have been hard at work! They have created a new line called "Sunny Bunny". She is a bunny designed for every occasion, every holiday. You can get your here.
For this project, I chose Witchy Bunny, and used a coffin treat box template from Martha Stewart. You can get the template here.
I colored Witchy using Faber-Casteel Pencils and gamsol. I used stickles for the wiskers, and the moon on her hat, and last I flocked her tail.
I stamped a spider inside the treat box, and then tied it up with jute...
so, start making your today, they are super easy, and super fun!

and, I am ready to create~~ Today, I did a dual card. I made it for Ildi Co., and it is also the MMSC sketch #20.Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE anything fall-ish. LOVE it. Head o over to Ildi's store and check out her halloween images, they are super cute!! I used Prisma colored pencils and gamsol as my technique, and I put on glittery brads as the accent.:)
